Position Summary:
The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and fostering our company’s HR policies and practices. The individual will be responsible for spearheading recruitment efforts, coordinating training and placements, ensuring impeccable people management, maintaining thorough documentation and records, and overseeing compliance and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment:
– Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
– Coordinate and conduct interviews, shortlisting, and selection processes.
– Work closely with departmental heads to understand staffing needs and fulfill them in a timely manner.
– Manage onboarding and induction of new employees.
2. Training and Placement:
– Design and implement a comprehensive training program for new hires and existing employees.
– Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses.
– Track and report on training outcomes.
– Coordinate with external training providers when necessary.
3. People Management:
– Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that promote a healthy work environment.
– Manage employee relations, addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
– Oversee performance appraisal systems and drive a culture of continuous feedback.
– Facilitate team-building and other employee engagement activities.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping:
– Maintain up-to-date records of all employees.
– Ensure safe and confidential handling of all personnel files.
– Develop systems for easy retrieval and update of employee information.
– Handle documentation for employee exits and terminations.
5. Compliances and Payroll:
– Ensure all HR activities are compliant with local laws and regulations.
– Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
– Handle benefits administration, including insurance, leaves, and pensions.
– Liaise with legal counsel when necessary on employment-related matters.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s or additional HR certifications are a plus.
– 0-5 years of HR managerial experience.
– Familiarity with HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, etc.).
– Proficient understanding of local employment legislation.
– Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
– Strong organizational and time management skills.
